NEW YORK [PeterPaul.ca] — Hall of Fame catcher and ten-time World Series champion Yogi Berra died Tuesday at the age of 90 from natural causes, his museum confirmed in a statement.
“It is with a profound sense of loss and heartfelt sorrow that the Board of Directors of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center shares the news that Yogi Berra has passed away at the age of 90 due to natural causes,” a statement from the Yogi Berra Museum said.
“While we mourn the loss of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, we know he is at peace with Mom,” his family said in a statement. “We celebrate his remarkable life, and are thankful he meant so much to so many. He will truly be missed.”
