TORONTO [Peter Paul Media] — The results of an autopsy on a child who died in hospital after being found in a Scarborough hotel are inconclusive pending further tests, police confirmed Tuesday in a statement.
The Homicide Squad confirmed that police responded to a call for service at a Scarborough residence on Monday after 4 p.m. This led them to the Howard Johnson hotel at 22 Metropolitan Road shortly afterwards. After arriving at the hotel, police found a child in “obvious distress,” according to a news release.
Police identified the dead child only as a female, adding that a man and a boy were also taken to hospital in the same incident.
