Peter Paul has been watching history unfold since 2001.
He personally attends high-profile happenings like Royal visits, celebrity performances, major sporting events, and breaking news in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and around the world as accredited media.
Peter Paul Media began as an idea in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. After years of research and developing sources, we started our official online presence as Peter Paul Media [PeterPaul.ca] in 2009 as a way to document our work going forward.
One of the first breaking news stories we covered officially was the tragic death of pop star Michael Jackson. On June 25, 2009, we received an unconfirmed report saying he’d been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles.
As news agencies worked to confirm reports of his death in real time, we called the Chief Coroner of Los Angeles, Craig Harvey, and left a voicemail. He returned our message a short time later and provided limited information (Identity, time of death) on Jackson’s death, adding that an autopsy would be performed the following day.
Mr. Harvey would became instrumental in our coverage of Jackson’s death by providing regular updates from the beginning to end. In the years that followed, we received many breaking news updates from the Coroner’s Office on many high profile cases.
Timeline (2009-2026):
Later in the year, we received media accreditation from the Government of Canada to cover the Royal visit of the then Prince of Wales, and now, King Charles III, which validated Peter Paul Media’s ability to get accreditation and information in a timely manner from official sources.
To end 2009, we attended the Olympic Torch relay amid subzero temperatures and protests along the relay route, as accredited media.
To start 2010, we attended the CBC’s Canada for Haiti telethon as accredited media, where Canada’s top musical and media talent came out to support a grieving nation almost two weeks after a devastating earthquake killed thousands.
In 2014, we covered the annual reggae music festival known as Jambana as accredited media, where top Caribbean performers dazzled the crowds. In 2016, we covered Luciano’s CNE Bandshell performance in front of hundreds of his adoring fans on a beautiful night in the city.
In 2017, we attended the Canadian International Auto Show as accredited media and got some great shots of the latest autos coming to market. We later reported on Michael Jackson’s former property by interviewing a representative of luxury real estate developer Joyce Rey.
In 2018, we witnessed Freddie McGregor’s performance at the CNE Bandshell on a busy night in the city including an ongoing Toronto FC match during McGregor’s set.
Our travels took us to the Canadian East Coast in June 2025 and we reported on the genuine friendliness of the people while visiting many historical sites, like Peggy’s Cove and the Hartland Bridge.
In September, we covered the Guyanese portion of the Biggest Party in Sport, AKA the Caribbean Premier League, as accredited media, filing match reports, backgrounders and country profiles from Guyana.
We have since been accredited for the 2026 CPL’s Guyana leg once again and will cover it live on the ground in September.

Peter Paul Media has developed an influential presence on social media over time. We are followed back by many high-profile accounts like the Associated Press, Variety, Getty Images, Daily Mail Online, CBC, George Stroumboulopoulos and former U.S. President Barack Obama to name a few.
Security/Other:
Paul has extensive, professional security experience as both a site supervisor and senior guard. He learned about managing conflict, communicating effectively, conducting lawful arrests and investigations, crime prevention and personal/close protection. In addition, Paul has previous service, sales, operations and leadership experience in numerous industries like finance, banking, automotive, food and beverage, retail and aviation.
