About Us

Peter Paul has been watching history unfold since 2001.

He personally attends high-profile events like Royal visits, celebrity performances or major events as accredited media. He has many interests including history, research, breaking news, cold cases, aviation, digital marketing, travel and sports to name a few. Eventually when all planned content is uploaded, you’ll get a better picture of the scope of our work.

It all began as an idea in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Our website was founded in 2009 as a way to document our work, officially. It features up-to-date content as well as archived content from our early days when we used pen and paper to write and our stories and notes, before we had a website.

One of the first breaking news stories we covered officially was the tragic death of pop star Michael Jackson. On June 25, 2009, we received a report on Twitter that said the King of Pop had been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles.

As news agencies worked to confirm reports of his death, we called the Chief Coroner of Los Angeles, Craig Harvey. He returned our message a short time later and provided information on Jackson’s death adding that an autopsy would be performed the following day.

Later in the year, we received media accreditation from the Government of Canada to cover Prince Charles’ Royal visit to Toronto. To end the year, we covered the Olympic Torch relay as accredited media on a frigid night at City Hall.

In 2010, we covered the historic Canada for Haiti CBC telethon. In 2014, we covered the annual reggae music festival Jambana. In 2016, we covered Luciano’s CNE Bandshell performance in front of hundreds of his adoring fans. In 2017, we covered the Canadian International Auto Show as accredited media and got some sweet shots of the latest autos.

Later in the year, we reported on Michael Jackson’s former property by interviewing a representative of luxury real estate developer Joyce Rey. In 2018, we witnessed Freddie McGregor’s amazing performance at the CNE Bandshell on a beautiful night in Toronto.

Peter Paul Media has developed an influential presence on social media. We are followed back by many high-profile accounts like the Associated Press, Variety, Getty Images, Daily Mail Online, CBC, U.S. Central Command, People’s Daily China, Toronto Raptors and former U.S. President Barack Obama to name a few.

Paul also has professional security experience as both a site supervisor and previously senior guard. He learned about managing conflict, communicating effectively, how to conduct investigations, crime prevention and personal/home security. The valuable lessons learned will be passed on via Peter Paul Media through a variety of posts.

Most recently, we founded MH370Latest to chronicle Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared without a trace on March 8, 2014 with 239 aboard.
