About Us

Peter Paul has been watching history unfold since 2001.

He is Peter Paul Media’s editor-in-chief. On top of attending high-profile events, he has many interests including history, research, breaking news, cold cases, aviation, travel and sports.

Paul has professional experience in many roles involving customer support and management, administration, security, leadership, training and communications to name a few. He started Peter Paul Media as an idea shortly after September 11, 2001 and launched it officially in 2009 after years of research.

One of the first breaking news stories we covered officially was the tragic death of pop star Michael Jackson. On June 25, 2009, we received a report saying the King of Pop had been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles.

As news agencies worked to confirm reports that he had died, we called the Chief Coroner of Los Angeles, Craig Harvey. He returned our message pretty quickly and provided details on Jackson’s death and said an autopsy would be performed the following day.

Since then, Peter Paul Media has developed an influential presence on social media. We are followed back by many high-profile accounts like the Associated Press, Variety, Getty Images, Daily Mail Online, the CBC, U.S. Central Command, People’s Daily China, the Toronto Raptors and former U.S. President Barack Obama to name a few.

Our updates reach tens of thousands each month with our highest month being 83,000 impressions in December 2014. In March 2020, we were at 24,000 impressions.

Paul also has security experience and certifications as both a senior guard and site supervisor. He learned to manage conflict, communicate effectively, how to conduct investigations, crime prevention and personal/home security. The valuable lessons learned will be passed on via Peter Paul Media through a variety of posts.

Most recently, Peter Paul Media founded MH370Latest in relation to Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared without a trace on March 8, 2014. We’ve conducted many high-profile interviews and the site is regularly updated.

Peter Says: “My whole life changed on 9/11. I became more self-aware of things directly around me and, more importantly, what was going on in the world. How could this have happened and what led up to it was the question of the day.”

“How the world worked suddenly mattered whether you followed politics or not. It opened up a lot of eyes and everything changed forever.”

“At that moment, my global knowledge was at a beginner’s level at best, caring mostly about work, school and spending time with family and friends.”

“I didn’t know too much outside of my own realm but things definitely changed, quickly. A light bulb went off in my head that day and has been burning strong ever since.”

“We now have sources all over the world and are followed back by many high-profile companies and personal accounts on Twitter.”

“I also worked in the security industry for five years, rising up the ranks while learning priceless lessons and tactics related to physical safety and security.”

“During my time in the industry, I worked with Toronto Police, Fire and Medics while learning how to manage emergencies, solve crime and render first aid.”

“These valuable lessons help every day and I pass them on to everybody I know. We need to be on the lookout nowadays not just for ourselves but our neighbours, all the time.”
